🚨 We’re hiring: Forensic Toxicologist (2456) 🚨
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in the City and County of San Francisco is recruiting a full-time, permanent Forensic Toxicologist to join our Forensic Laboratory Division.
Our laboratory performs comprehensive, routine toxicology testing on all casework using advanced and peer-reviewed published LC-QTOF/MS and LC-MS/MS platforms, enabling the identification and quantitation of thousands of drugs, medications, novel psychoactive substances, and metabolites. This high-resolution, broad-scope approach supports complex medicolegal death investigations, drug-impaired driving cases, sexual assault casework, and emerging drug surveillance.
Beyond casework, we are actively engaged in research, method development, and publication, and strongly support professional growth, and knowledge-sharing. Our team regularly connects and collaborates with a broad national and international forensic toxicology network, contributing to conferences, working groups, and cross-laboratory initiatives that help advance the field.
