The Department of Forensic Science is conducting a search for a forensic science faculty position within its FEPAC-accredited MS program and Ph.D. program. Applicants with forensic toxicology experience are preferred but related forensic disciplines such as drug chemistry/seized drugs, analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, forensic chemistry, firearms, or crime scene investigation may also be considered.

 

Candidates for this tenure-track faculty position should have a Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field and relevant research/teaching experience in forensic science or a closely related discipline.

 

Candidates must be able to develop and teach graduate-level courses in forensic science, pursue a sustained research agenda, supervise graduate student research and actively participate in the continuous development of forensic science programming at SHSU. Candidates are expected to be dedicated teachers, productive researchers, and professionals prepared to become actively engaged in a intellectual and social environment to meet the needs of students.
