Forensic Scientist III- Toxicology

The Forensic Scientist III position at the City of Tucson’s Police Department is a lead position in an accredited forensic crime laboratory, which specializes in the forensic toxicology (blood and breath alcohol) discipline. This position performs difficult and complex examinations and analyses of forensic evidence, prepares technical reports, provides expert witness testimony, maintains quality assurance of scientific instrumentation, and monitors inventory of supplies and consumables for the unit. The Forensic Scientist III assists leadership with advanced quality assurance and quality control tasks, solving unusual problems, and with providing training and guidance of staff.
