Assistant Professor

The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics of the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, has an opening for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful applicant will produce scholarship that complements and expands existing expertise in the department. The successful candidate should have demonstrated commitment to working with and supporting a diverse group of individuals from all academic levels, contribute to high-impact teaching in the college’s undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs, and provide service to the college, university and scientific community. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Applications must consist of 1) a cover letter, 2) a curriculum vita, 3) a statement of teaching philosophy and experience, and 4) a description of planned and past research.

Minimum requirements - Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related field. Have funding or have demonstrated a research agenda with a clear potential for external funding.

Preferred requirements - A PhD in a required Field of Study. At least one year of postdoctoral research experience is preferred. Those with a Toxicology background, particularly Forensic Toxicology, is preferred. The applicant will demonstrate a clear potential for external research funding.
