DEPUTY CHIEF TOXICOLOGISTS: Postmortem or Human Performance

The newly restructured Toxicology Section at ADFS will have two deputy Chief Toxicologists who will assist the Chief Toxicologist, Dr. Curt E. Harper. If interested, send CVs or questions to: [email protected]

Duties - Assist the Chief Toxicologist to:

Manage technical operations within Toxicology

Manage the QA/QC program within Toxicology

Provide expert witness testimony

Provide consultation to ADFS customers (e.g., medical examiners, law enforcement, coroners, attorneys)

Develop and maintain procedures

Manage method development & validation, and research

Implement corrective action plans

Assist with Training

Required Education

Doctorate degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or related field.

Preferred Experience

F-ABFT-certified. Three years of full-time laboratory experience in forensic toxicology lab. Documented completion of a Forensic Toxicology training program.

Preferred Skills

Analytically-sound, proven leadership skills, problem solving capabilities, experience with method development and validation, proficient with QQQ and QTOF technologies.
